VFP Chapter 27 Committees
Veterans for Peace Chapter 27 welcomes your participation on one of our committees. Please call our office at (612) 821-9141 for details, or call or E-mail one of the contact persons listed in the right sidebar.
Fundraising Committee:
VFP #27 is looking to improve fundraising and our public outreach efforts by getting the Canoe out at new venues in order to sell canoe raffle tickets and VFP #27 merchandise. We need more volunteers to step forward and help with Canoe Raffle sales. The public is very appreciative of our message and it's needed now more than ever!!! If you know of a good event for the Canoe Raffle Sales, let Barry Riesch know about it. Tabling at events is both a vehicle for fundraising and outreach to the public. Contact VFP #27 if you know of events that you would like to organize a table at. Please do some preliminary research to find out costs that are charged by the event organizers. We need individual members to take leadership responsibilities to get our message out to the public as well as raising some needed funds.
Merchandise Committee:
The Merchandise Committee
has done an excellent job in adding products that people can't find elsewhere and raised needed funds for our organization.
Video Committee:
Under the excellent leadership of Harold Nielson on the Video Committee, our chapter has added a number of excellent educational videos for sale. Please consider purchasing some videos and find ways to utilize them in public venues in order to educate the public.
Membership Committee:
At our January, 2004 general membership meeting, members agreed that it was all of our responsibility to do our part in letting people know about VFP and giving people an opportunity to sign up. Increased membership in VFP #27 will help our chapter become more of an influence at many levels. Try and sign up new members by keeping VFP #27 brochures with you at all time.
Thanks to all of our members for the renewals of membership to VFP #27 and the additional contributions that have been made. Your financial support is helping us make a impact across Minnesota in our educational efforts. The money we receive from members allow us to maintain an office with two part-time workers.
